Material Handler & MHEO 2nd Shift

Summary
This role has the main task of ensuring that materials are moved/stored, that materials are supplied where/when they are needed, and  ensuring trucks are loaded/unloaded in a timely manner. This role will contribute to higher overall productivity of the entire group.

High vis vest
 

Supervisory Responsibility:None

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supply Raw materials and parts to the production line assigned

Remove empty bins for refilling

Transport finished goods away from the production line assigned

Remove all waste from the line assigned

Remove WIP and other material scrap from the line once cleared to move into designated bins. They will be in designated spots and colored red.

Update status/alert boards of line assigned

Replace tools/fixtures as needed for the line assigned.

Notify proper person to schedule pickups of miscellaneous items such as scrap, trash removal, totes, out of date chemicals, metal hoppers and pallets

Perform line side replenishment audits when required.

Help maintain a clean work area on the line assigned as well as assigned supermarkets

Adherence to established safety policies, procedures, and practices.

Supports the organization’s efforts toward continuous improvement.

Supports the organization’s goals and values.

Demonstrates teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance and service.

Help improve overall processes

Engages with all line teams on a daily basis

Provides good customer service to all customers, both internal and external

Perform other duties as assigned by Logistics Manager, Line Supervisor, and/or Team Leader

 

Successful Candidates Must
Be able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis and be able to work in a standing, bending, and/or stretching position
Have Excellent Communication skills
Experienced and Knowledgeable working within welding/production lines
Problem solving skills
Punctuality and time management skills
Must be process driven and know how to take a systematic approach to the job.
Forklift experience.
 

Education and Experience:High school diploma/equivalent or higher education

 

Language Skills: Multilingual a plus - English and Spanish
