What you will do

Job Title: Quality Supervisor

 

Quality Supervisor is a member of a quality team. As a member of the team responsible for implementing the objectives of the production plant, the goals and objectives of the Department are entrusted to the Department.

 

Primary Accountabilities:  Responsible for the daily monitoring of the overall quality.  

•    As needed, lead and manage QREs (Quality Resident Engineers), MTs (Metrology Technicians), QTs (Quality Technicians), QIs (Quality Inspectors) or any other function directed to the quality department, including third-party companies located in-house or at the customer's plant.
•    Analyze, diagnose and monitor internal and customer quality failures until the definition of the responsible department and corrective actions.
•    Participate in all activities in the APQP phase of the project, ensuring the quality of the event.
•    Lead the team to ensure the implementation of indicators and monitor items related to Warranty, PPM, QR, MSA and dimensional studies in general, providing frequent feedback to the operations and engineering team.
•    Review and monitor scorecards and customer portals to ensure quality deliveries to the customer, PPMs and warranty targets.
•    Support manufacturing engineering in relation to the development of control plans, being responsible for the quality of the document.
•    Analyze DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans accordingly.
•    Support the entire development of control gages during the project gates.
•    Support the Lab tech Engineer in completing dimensional capability, gage certification and GR&R studies.
•    Coaching for the implementation of AIAG and Quality Core Tools manuals in all necessary areas, including training, training plans and corrective action reports for non-compliance with such actions.
•    Review, monitor and analyze dimensional data from tool tryouts. • Develop and monitor, together with the Product Engineer, the control plan for the GD&T program, including the number of measurement points, reference system, control methodology in various phases of the program, etc.
•    Ensure that the customer representation / resources / systems are implemented and in accordance with the requirements .
•    Review the Quality procedures of the departments and update / train as required in the  training system.
•    Conduct root cause identification before implementing the PCAs and also use the Lessons Learned system when applicable.
•    Review component / product drawings and understand their application requirements. Understand all performance and engineering specifications applied to the parts in general.
•    Work with organizations and suppliers to implement advanced technology strategies in order to reduce the annual demand for quality complaints from customers and achieve pre-defined targets.

 

 

Who are you?

 

Knowledge required:
•    Technical high school or Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field. 
•    2 years minimum related experience preferred. 
•    Experience in automotive industry as Tier 1 supplier.• Good level of knowledge related to Quality Core Tools (APQP, CEP, MSA, FMEA & PPAP), Control Plans / Process Flows is desirable.
•    Knowledge in Root Cause Analysis / Practical Problem Solving.
•    Knowledge in Business Operating System.
•    Knowledge in various processes

For this position, the base pay is set at $85,000- $100,000 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
