What you will do

At Group Trucks Operations Powertrain Production you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.

You will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR related matters, including but not limited to performance & competence management, labor & employee relations, organizational development & change and talent development.
  • Partner with department heads to identify talent needs, facilitate the recruitment process, and onboard new team members effectively.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
  • Provide coaching/feedback and support to managers on effective leadership practices, conflict resolution, and team dynamics.
  • Maintain effective relationships with labor unions and interact with union officials and others on matters pertaining to employee relations concerns and collective bargaining agreement provisions. Collective bargaining agreement administration and interpretation. Participate in contract negotiations and grievance resolution.
  • Consistently utilize Continuous Improvement techniques to optimize position and department efficiencies and serve as a People Development Coach to managers and the organization.
  • Build relationships at all levels within the organization to effectively maximize employee involvement in driving change.
  • Proactively build and promote strong employee trust and open communication among all levels of the organization.

 

Your Future Team

As a People & Culture Partner you will be part of a team consisting of People & Culture Partners, Labor Relations Manager and a Safety team. Our team plays a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our organizational culture while supporting the growth and development of our talented team members. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will collaborate closely with managers at all levels to implement HR initiatives that align with our company’s goals and values while collaborating with the business to improve performance through best in class HR support. Our team achieves results by being driven, innovative, collaborative and trustworthy. This role is both hands-on and strategic and provides expertise in the areas of employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, learning and development, and ad hoc projects as necessary.

In this role we are looking for a strong leader and team member with a customer focus who will be committed to the teamwork environment through being a resourceful team player. Maintaining collaborative relationships with team members internal and external is key in creating a successful and strong team. Experience with decision making and influencing ability is key in being able to drive the implementation and necessary changes.  Excellent communication skills will ease both team and cross functional work for allowing trustworthy network building.  

 

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in HR roles or related experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong personal credibility, integrity and self-leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

For this position, the base salary range is set at $95,965 - $118,545, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
