What you will do
Volvo Financial Services is seeking a Managing Director Sweden. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President Region Europe North & Central and be based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Managing Director Sweden is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the VFS business. The position manages the development and execution of the business plans within Volvo Group guidelines. This includes achieving commercial and profitability targets
throughout the organization, maximizing shareholder value. It also includes managing the strategic integration between VFS and the respective Business Areas in Sweden i.e. Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Bus. This position takes full responsibility for driving and executing on strategies to achieve VFS business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership: Execute VFS Sweden’s strategy and business plan to support Volvo Group sales, driving sustainable growth and innovation.
• Market Growth: Lead initiatives to help Business Areas exceed market share goals, anticipate trends, and strengthen VFS Sweden’s role within Volvo Group.
• Customer Focus: Build a strong captive finance culture centred on customer success, collaboration, and performance.
• People Leadership: Inspire and develop teams, fostering a culture where talent and innovation thrive.
• Talent Management: Attract, develop, and retain top talent, promoting diversity and a high-performance workplace.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and Volvo Group policies, championing best practices in governance and risk management.
• Legal Representation: Represent VFS Sweden in legal matters, upholding ethical standards and protecting organizational interests.
Qualifications:
• A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in captive financing, ideally within equipment leasing and with P&L responsibility.
• Industry knowledge in commercial vehicles, construction equipment, or asset finance.
• Familiarity with dealer distribution networks and credit underwriting.
• Proven success in international environments and navigating local regulatory and compliance frameworks.
• A track record as a seasoned, strategic leader with strong business and financial acumen.
• Ability to assess and manage credit, financial, and business risks effectively.
• Experience in building and leading high-performance teams and cultures.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), fluency in English, and proficiency in MS Office.
