We are pleased to launch the ExcelHer program – the career returnship program at Volvo Group in India. The program is for women who have been on a career break for a year or more. This is our step towards empowering women to relaunch their professional journey after their absence from the workplace due to personal commitments. Exciting work assignments have been identified which you can refer in the list below. 
 
The assignments are for a tenure of 9 months. The participant of this program would have access to professional development programs, mentoring assistance by a business leader, apart from the experience of working with people from different functions/technology/culture.

Our Region:

The Lyon & International region (L&I) is operating in Lyon with the Renault Trucks Central Warehouse, in Africa, in the Middle East, in Asia and Oceania with 12 Regional Distribution Centers supporting all Volvo Group truck brands, VCE, Penta, and UD trucks. The multiple flows to deliver parts are monitored and optimized by Supply Planning, Dealer Inventory Management, Customer Services & Transport solution and projects functions, operating all over the region.

We are a three-person Communications team supporting the entire Lyon & International (L&I) region.

Our mission is to support Volvo Group’s business transformation and performance by making sense of change and strengthening belonging and purpose—communicating vision and direction with one cohesive voice.

We help L&I be a truly communicative organization—where diverse perspectives are encouraged and actively listened to. By fostering an open communication climate, we build trust and support leaders and employees in their day-to-day communication responsibilities.

As communication experts, we continuously improve and modernize our internal channels and tools to ensure communication is effective and high-performing. We also train and coach L&I leaders and employees, building communication skills and empowering everyone to take ownership of communication.

 

Your responsibilities as a Communication Partner are:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of Volvo Group, SO&T Lyon & International internal communication plans and actions.
  • Advise and support management teams and managers on communication topics that strengthen employee engagement and business performance.
  • Coach leaders and employees to build strong communication skills and ability.
  • Coordinate and energize a network of Communication Ambassadors—our communication relays across the Asian sites.
  • Contribute to the Lyon & International communication roadmap, continuously improving our tools, channels, and ways of working.

 

Who are you?

You have at least 4-5 years of hands-on relevant experience in the domain of internal communication and especially in a global organization and bring good understanding of both operational and strategic communication.

You are comfortable managing multiple topics in parallel and consistently delivering on deadlines. You are at ease handling many topics at the same time and committed to meeting the deadlines.

A You have strong drive, can-do mindset, flexibility, the capacity to build relationships and work cross functionally with colleagues, networks other stakeholders.

You are fluent in English (both verbal and written).

Not the least, you have an open and positive attitude, are curious, and are motivated by continuous learning and professional growth.

 

Other details

The job may require occasional overseas travelling. You will report to the Head of L&I Communications. The position is based in Bangalore, India. We can discuss the rest when we meet for an interview.
