Purpose

  • To drive assignments in end-to-end Supply Chain development and optimization. 
  • To lead or participate in projects aimed at improving supply chain efficiency
  • To evaluate, challenge and develop existing methods and standards in the end-to-end supply chain optimization work.
  • To coordinate, support and follow up on preparation and implementation of logistics sourcing projects.
  • To coordinate and drive optimization forum, focusing on external logistics in collaboration with plant logistics.


Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Development
    • Lead or contribute to projects focused on enhancing supply chain efficiency, ensuring supply chain inputs play a key role in decision-making.
    • Identify and evaluate emerging supply chain trends and innovative solutions.
    • Leverage digital technologies to optimize and streamline operations.
    • Develop business cases and perform landed cost calculations to support strategic decision-making

 

  • Develop new as well as existing methods and standards how to optimize the transport network
    • Evaluate and challenge existing optimization approaches to drive continuous improvement.
    • Establish new standards to enhance transport network efficiency.
    • Adopt an agile approach—collaborate with colleagues, seek continuous improvements, and incorporate user and stakeholder feedback.
    • Work closely with system experts to develop practical, digitally viable solutions.
    • Educate colleagues on new methodologies and best practices for improved ways of working.

 

  • Manage and lead Optimization forum with plant logistics
    • Identify optimization opportunities in the logistics network with a holistic, end-to-end supply chain perspective.
    • Escalate to and collaborate with Transport design responsible in order not to sub optimized the transport network. 
    • Challenge existing internal and external methods to reduce logistics costs and minimize CO₂ impact from transportation

 

  • Coordinate sourcing project preparation and implementation with the transport design responsible. 
    • Ensure a seamless handover of transport relations to Logistics Purchasing for all contracts within the sourcing project.
    • Monitor and follow up on implementation activities required for updates in logistics systems.
    • Develop and execute a communication plan, defining key messages and target audiences.

 

Authorities

  • Coordinate sourcing project preparation and implementations. 
  • Develop and anchor new methods and standards for Supply Chain development. 
  • Work locally with global process, align with other offices 
  • Cross functional work with other offices, material suppliers, Logistics Services Providers, material controllers and other departments. 
  • Continuous improvements regarding ways of working and collaboration

 

Background : Engineering or MBA in Logistics & Supply Chain management
