What you will do
At Logistics International - Transport Operations, India you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will:
Securing Invoicing & Cost Control by validating incoming invoice from logistics service providers within prescribed time as per PO/ Rate Contract; regular reconciliation forums with LSPs, Account Services team. Ensure payments are released within due date.

Logistics International - Transport Operations, India is part of Trucks Technology & Industrial (TTI) Division within Volvo Group. We are a Logistics organization, globally connected to deliver world class logistics solutions. We ensure that transportation is purchased, packaging is made available at our suppliers, material is transported to our production facilities, and vehicles & CE machines are distributed to our customers on time. We design and optimize the Logistics Supply Chain for the Volvo Group, prepare logistics for new products and drive the Sales & Operations Planning process. Transport Operations India (TO IN) is a function within TTI - Logistics International and responsible for –
- Overseas & domestic transportation of material to the Production Facilities of Trucks, Construction Equipment and also Buses & Powertrain production units within Volvo Group India & Joint Venture in India,
- Distribution of Vehicles, Construction Equipment & Penta products to domestic & overseas Dealers/ Customers
- Managing Product Transit Yards & Cross Docks for Material.
- We make sure that all logistics services are delivered with world class operational excellence, and this is achieved through networks and collaborations between functions in different locations globally.
Role Description
- Tracking and follow up invoices from logistics service providers
- Close coordination with team members on all Invoicing matters & service validation
- Validate incoming invoice from logistics service providers as per PO/ Rate Contract & put up to Business Controller, Transport Operations Director, for authorisation.
- Contact logistics service providers to correct invoice in any deviation found
- Timely submission of the LSP invoices to AS (Accounting Services) within the monthly timeframe.
- Issuing operational invoices to customers within agreed timeframe.
- Request to AS (Accounting Services) for payment to logistics service providers
- Request to FCA (Financial Control & Accounting) to issue outgoing invoice for customers
- Monitor and follow up payments both incoming and outgoing invoices as per the payment terms
- Validate accounting report/ reconcile the balances with LSPs (or Customers)
- Create and control statistical information / reports.
- Handle deviations, problems and customs claims /investigations. Take corrective and preventive actions. Secure permanent improving of own tasks.
- Adhoc inputs, invoice specs & info to Finance, Taxation & Auditors.
- Support Business Control with all inputs related to monthly closing like volumes, freight, monthly provisions etc
- Participate/support in workgroups / projects.
- Execute various tasks to support the manager.
Competence Requirement
- University/college graduate in B.Com/BBA in Finance or Commerce
- Diploma/ Degree in IT/ Foreign Trade is added advantage
- Fluent in English & Good Communication Skills
- Digital Competence – Able to use Office365 Apps for improvement & automation
- Performance Analysis of LSPs
- High on Integrity and Strong Ethics
