What you will do
The Maintenance Engineer (PLC & Automation) will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation systems, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, sensors, and control systems within the plant. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, continuous improvement, and supporting production to achieve high equipment uptime and reliability.
Who are you?
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLC, HMI, VFD, servo drives, sensors, and other automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns in automation-controlled machines and production lines.
- Modify, update, and optimize PLC and HMI programs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, or similar platforms).
- Support installation and commissioning of new automation equipment and upgrades.
- Maintain documentation for PLC programs, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
- Ensure minimum downtime by quickly diagnosing root causes of automation faults.
- Collaborate with production and process engineering teams for continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, electrical codes, and compliance requirements.
- Train and guide technicians/operators in handling basic automation-related issues.
- Work with external vendors/automation suppliers for technical support when required
