The Logistics Project Manager will lead projects focused on optimizing and transforming logistics functions by overseeing the successful planning, execution, and closing of defined projects related to a company's logistics, warehousing & its related operations. This role requires a blend of logistics expertise, strategic planning, and hands-on project management to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

What you will do

  • Define Project Scope: Work with business stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, scope, and deliverables for logistics-related initiatives.
  • Design: Physical flows and supply chain processes aligned with production, operations, and construction requirements minimizing costs.
  • Develop: Warehouse layouts, storage policies, and line-feeding strategies
  • Project Plan: Create detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and work breakdown structures (WBS), ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
  • Resource Allocation: Identify, coordinate, and manage project resources, including personnel, budget, external vendors, and equipment across cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee Execution: Lead project execution, monitor progress, manage task completion, and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and are integrated smoothly into ongoing operations.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact, providing timely and accurate updates to stakeholders, and project teams. Conduct regular project review meetings.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate, contract, and manage performance of third-party logistics (3PL) providers and technology vendors related to the project.
  • Budget Control: Oversee budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed within scope.

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of logistics operations, warehousing Operations / Layout design, Material Handling and Storage concepts with Industry 4 processes. (Scanning, real-time traceability and  MIS generation, cross-docks & MHE’s).
  • Engineering design layout for optimized storage and efficient flow of parts and information in the warehouse.
  • A strong understanding/ exposure/ hands on experience of core warehouse functions: receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and shipping is highly recommended.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI).
  • Manage implementation of logistics IT systems preferably SAP MM or EWMS module.
  • Regulatory Compliance (Customs, Import/Export)

Critical skills

  • Experience in cross-functional environments
  • Experience with international logistics operation.

Education and Experience

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree: Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Min 7 years of experience in logistics department with 2~3+ years of dedicated project management experience, preferably managing large-scale logistics operations.
  • Professional Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferable but not mandatory.
