Senior Controller - IT & KD BC Processes

Purpose

Serve as the global controlling expert and Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for KD flows. Act as the business owner for TM1, leading and driving improvement initiatives for the controlling function, with a strong focus on the future evolution of TM1 and long-term planning.

  • Global SPOC for KD processes from a controlling perspective.
  • Business owner for TM1, overseeing its continuous improvement and effective utilization.
  • D&IT support for Business Control related processes across KD sites.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

KD BC Process Ownership

  • Learn, document, and continuously update KD BC process flows, including Tuve outbound flows, invoicing, and receiving.
  • Ensure KD BC process documentation remains current and aligned with evolving business practices.
  • Support in projects and problem solving needs connected to KD BC Process
  • Develop the KD BC Process
     

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary liaison between the controlling function and IT for KD process needs.
  • Establish and lead a TM1 forum for controllers, facilitating network meetings with relevant stakeholders.

 

Global Process Improvement Leadership

  • Lead process improvement initiatives in TM1 for GTO on a global scale.
  • Maintain a forward-looking perspective on TM1 usage and its long-term impact on ERP systems.
  • Take an active role in projects related to KD processes and IT improvements, supporting efficient execution from a business control perspective, promoting effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with financial and operational objectives.

 

Controlling Process Leadership

  • Serve as the controlling process owner for KD flows and TM1 at Global level.
  • Support digital transformation by upgrading processes using modern technologies (e.g., Power Query, Power BI, Power Apps, SAP S4 HANA).

 

Futuristic SAP Strategy and Long-Term Planning

  • Lead the long-term planning and strategic development of SAP systems from a controlling perspective.
  • Ensure effective utilization of SAP for future business needs, including process automation, data integration, and system scalability.

 

Accounting & Controlling Compliance

  • Ensure that all KD-related accounting practices adhere to relevant accounting standards, legal regulations, and company policies.
  • Ensure that all newly developed processes and improvements in TM1 comply with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.

Authorities

  • Administrative authority for reviewing all modules of Truck Master(SAP)
  • Administrative authority for reviewing any upstream/downsteam systems connected to TM1 and MTM Roadmap
  • Administrative authority for requesting IS/IT modifications

Key Success Factors

  • Strong understanding of KD process flows and SAP systems (TM1, SAP S4 HANA).
  • Ability to lead global and local process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all processes comply with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Clear and accurate documentation of KD and export business processes.
  • Proactively plan for future business needs and system scalability.
  • Take ownership of TM1 and SAP from a controlling perspective
  • Effective problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
