HGV Technician - Nights

Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGV’s or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry?
As part of our team at Volvo you will work a 39 hour per week on a rotational night shift, up to £20 per hour with overtime and quarterly bonus and fantastic earning potential
£1,000 signing bonus (payable to direct applicants only after 6 months)

What you will do
The Role – some of your key responsibilities will include:
Our Technicians are responsible carrying out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks. Fault finding, carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes brakes, suspension systems etc.
- Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
- Assist in the fault diagnosis process
- Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
- Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
- Assist with roadside breakdowns.
- Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
- Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
- Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained
- Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
