Apprentice Administrator/Invoicer
Salary up to £20,000 p.a. (dependent upon skill set)
Location: Volvo Truck and Bus - Foxtail Rd, Ipswich IP3 9RT
Length of apprenticeship: 15 months (including time for exams)
Purpose of role:
To enhance and assist in the smooth operation of the Service departments. Maintain an organised audit trail conforming to the Volvo Dealer operating standards. Convert information from job card to produce an invoice. To be aware of and comply with manufacturer’s warranty / contract policies and procedures enabling all claims to be processed with a minimum of delay on query.
What you will do
With training here are some of the areas you will cover
- Invoice using 5 digit V.S.T numbers ensuring all parts and sublet items are included.
- Translate write up into accurate chargeable items
- Ensure correct amount of sundries/ environmental charges is charged.
- Ensure order number requirements are adhered to.
- Maximise charges in all area.
- Ensure invoice is correctly coded i.e. Warranty / Contracts / Retail etc.
- Ensure budgeted margins are maintained.
- Maintain work in progress at budget levels.
- Adhere to warranty and contract procedures with particular attention to A.M.A.
- Ensure on line time recordings are correct.
- Contract and warranty claims must contain the 3 C’s – Complaint, Cause, Cure
- Meet daily invoice target
- Proactively assist customers when appropriate.
- Professionally answer the telephone within 4 rings, directing calls and / or taking accurate messages when appropriate.
- Any other duties that may be reasonably requested by your manager
Who are you?
We require you to have Level 4 or above in Math and English/functional skills level 2
