Location:

Position Type:  Professional

Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future? If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

Join our new Energy Sales & Business team at Volvo Penta—driving battery systems sales, new business development, and segment growth. Volvo Penta is a leading supplier of power solutions, offering complete systems—from combustion engines to European-manufactured batteries. With 5,000 dealers in 130 countries, we maintain a uniquely strong global presence. This is a rare chance to build something new from scratch. We need entrepreneurial, fearless people eager to make a global impact. You won’t just follow a playbook—you’ll help write it.

We’re seeking a fearless, hands-on problem solver who thrives on technical challenges and can think in systems. The person takes ownership, collaborates with everyone from sales teams and suppliers to customers and contractors, and bridges the gap between theory and real-world execution by connecting electrical components. You will not just be following a playbook; you'll get to write it, as you architect, deliver, and optimise complex Battery Systems for on-grid, off-grid, microgrid, and EV charging projects in the energy vertical.

What will you do?

  • Ensure seamless electrical, mechanical, and communication integration with partners.
  • Size systems, specify components, and validate layouts.
  • Support sales in tenders and technical discussions.
  • Lead onboarding, design reviews, and compliance checks.
  • Provide on-site commissioning and troubleshooting support.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure performance and cost efficiency

You will interact regularly with customers, sales, service, support and Product management across Volvo Penta. Additionally, you will represent Volvo Penta Industrial in the exhibitions, conferences, business magazines and fairs, with interactions extending to other Business Areas within the Volvo Group.

 It is a plus:

  • Some system design experience using tools such as Xendee, HOMER, MATLAB, etc.
  • Understanding of inverter behavior, EMS coordination, thermal management, and fire safety is a plus.
  • Familiarity with electrical protection, system layout, and interconnection strategies.

Why choose us?

  • Be part of a fresh, ambitious team shaping Volvo Penta's future.
  • Work with cutting-edge battery technologies, solving complex technical and commercial challenges.
  • Collaborate across the entire Volvo ecosystem, leveraging one of the world’s most respected industrial brands.
  • Make a real, global impact — with your ideas, energy, and ownership.

At Volvo Penta, we are passionately working to establish teams that will take maximum advantage of the strength inherent in differences in knowledge, experience, age, gender, nationality, etc. We find that well-balanced working teams increase group dynamics, creativity, and innovative approaches to solutions.

If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity and contribute to our global success, apply now with your resume and cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are the perfect fit for this role. We look forward to welcoming you to our team at Volvo Penta Industrial.
