What you will do
We seek power system engineers to work in technology areas such as diesel engine application development, installation design, software integration, cooling system and other surrounding system design, as well as diesel engine-based hybrid solutions to be implemented in our construction equipment machinery.
The developments are made in projects with close cooperation with both other departments, suppliers and own production which means a lot of contacts within the company as well as outside including international contacts.
Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities:
- Participate in development projects reaching targets in interms of QDCF
- Diesel engine application development and lifecycle management.
- Define performance specifications, matching with hydraulic system and driveline system to meet machine performance targets.
- Complete engine installation design to fulfil both engine and product’s requirements in term of vibration, temperature, altitude and reliability.
- Clarify and define control interfaces with machine electrical systems
- Develop engine surrounding system and components
- Define engine VnV plan and drive it (application level)
- Management of product quality and reliability improvement projects
- Support our testing activities in the evaluation of design solutions
- Develop technical solution for PM issue
Who are you?
Key Skills:
- Product knowledge (Construction machinery and vehicle industry)
- Knowledge of diesel engine system, hardware and its installation requirements
- Knowledge of engine performance, power matching and calibration.
- Knowledge of engine control, software interface and diagnostics
- Designer tools (3D/2D design and PDM systems)
- Quality tools and methods
- Competitive intelligence
- Knowledge of product development processes
Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
- Master's degree in Power engineering, Mechanical design, Mechanics, Automation, and Thermal engineering
- Experience in diesel engine development or engine application on products
- Ability to plan, take own initiatives and work independently as well as a team member
Additional Important Requirements:
- English skill in both written and oral
- Good communicative skills
