What you will do
Maintainability Engineer is to integrate maintainability requirements with system requirements and equipment design thus ensuring that the system and machine/ component are readily maintainable at the designated maintenance levels at the lowest possible system Total Cost of Ownership over the life-cycle.
- Maintainability Engineer
- Owner of the Maintainability for an assigned product, technology or component;
- Main interface for maintainability topics within aftermarket functions;
- Develop and maintain method and models for maintainability calculations and analysis;
- Secure, maintain & develop roadmaps with input from Sales Regions;
- Define repair strategies through failure modes analysis together with technology/ product owners;
- Verify and validate maintainability requirements for early developments and secure proper implementation in the product;
- Continuously build & share knowledge within the maintainability domain and new technologies to fulfill customer needs;
- Co-develop and evaluate the technology/product solutions with the solution providers within various technology functions to ensure development of an optimized maintainability solution；
- Secure Volvo Group’s Quality, Safety & Health, Environmental Policy and code of conduct are implemented.
Who are you?
Required knowledge & experience:
1. Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
- B.S. in engineering or equivalent
- Good understanding on construction equipment and business
- Good knowledge of data driven analysis
- Experience in the aftermarket and product support area
- Working knowledge of the New Product Development and Product Maintenance process
- Fluent in spoken and written English
