Job Summary:

Develop, define and maintain the spare parts offer, based on commercial potential, technical and legal requirements.  

Job Content:

1.    Roles: 

•    Parts Engineer  

2.    Main Responsibilities / Authorities: 

•    Develop, define and maintain the Parts Breakdown Policy (PRP) and its overall template and guidelines.
•    Document the spare part offer (parts, breakdowns, AMO, AME, Reman, etc) and S-BOM in the PDM system. (and aftermarket systems according to PRPs and valid routines and instructions.)
•    Document AMO SBOM in SAP system.
•    Develop, define and maintain the spare part offer, based on the scope of activities in product development, product maintenance and product support processes. 
•    Secure, understand and apply commercial potential, technical and legal requirements, when developing, defining and maintaining the spare parts offer.
•    Secure alignment and synchronization of spare part offer, spare part information and maintenance information in all deliveries. 
•    Communicate process related requirements to project. 
•    Secure Volvo Group’s Quality, Safety & Health, Environmental Policy and code of conduct are implemented
•    Decide what to offer as spare parts for a specific product or products, based on entity.  
•    Document the SBOM spare parts offer, and spare parts decision in the PDM system and the GLOPPS system.
•    Distribute the spare parts offer, and spare parts decision through the GLOPPS system.
•    Collaborate with external suppliers to develop a legally, technically and commercially viable parts offering for purchased components.

Who are you?

Required knowledge & experience:

1. Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:

•    Master or Bachelor of engineering 
•    Working experience of technical job in engineering is a plus

•    Product and parts knowledge 
•    Technical knowledge 
•    Customer understanding

•    Fully proficient in spoken and written English 
•    Ability to work in a global environment 
•    Knowledge about surrounding processes and deliverables
