Volvo Penta has a lot of experience from product development, and we are using our existing experience and processes as a base, however we see a need to increase speed of execution in our development projects and thereby this role will also be part of developing new ways of working. Currently we are looking for a technical project leader that will be responsible for developing our new electric drivelines for China market.
You and your project team will be responsible for planning and leading the technical development through all phases, resulting in producing and delivering new products to our customers. You are responsible for the development budget and product cost. It is important that you involve your stakeholders and line managers as well as external partners and networks to get commitments to deliveries and development costs. You shall also be comfortable with communication and presenting your results and needs to the steering group.
This Technical Project Manager belongs to the Engineering Unit, Driveline and Electromobility and our Jinan based Volvo Penta China engineering office. As a PME (Project Management Engineer) you will be responsible for the technical part of the development projects. The areas of responsibilities stretch across the company and include design, verification & validation, and manufacturing however you will also be working a lot with product planning, supply chain, aftermarket and purchasing.

Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should:
- Have at least 5-8 years of project management experience and know the product development process well and have experience from industrializing products or services.
- Preferably have experience from developing Electrical drivelines within automotive industry
- Have excellent relationship- and interpersonal skills. You bring the best out of individuals as well as the organization
- Fluent in both Chinese and English and have excellent communication skills
