As part of the Purchasing Project China Team, you'll support the business with internal and external stakeholders including Volvo CE (Purchasing, Technology, Operations, Sales) and other Volvo entities.

Main tasks/responsibilities

  • Support project managers fulfill their GDP deliverables and tasks, Manage sample orders for different sites and communicate project status within the Purchasing organization and to interested stakeholders
  • Assign responsible buyer to new parts. Collaborate with all Commodity roles, parts sales, Volvo Korea plant and Volvo Shanghai plant to manage sample orders.
  • Supplier project manager to control purchasing overall cost targets on new purchased parts.
  • Planning and follow-up with stakeholders for all new parts until first serial delivery.
  • Identify opportunities and contribute to Commodity strategy development.
  • Identify and manage target cost deviations, drive improvements among the team.
  • Secure time for Purchasing activities in the main time plan.
  • Manage overall purchasing invoice receipt, payment in Jinan site.
  • Training and coordinating interns working on documentation preparation.
  • Purchasing administration, include held purchasing meeting, team activities, other events.
  • Purchasing administration, including canteen, shuttle bus, company car, delivery, Office supply management, Reimbursement coordination, Functional mini library.

Competencies and education:

•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, supply chain management or a related field,  a background in finance or procurement is a plus.

•    You have minimum 7 years of administration experience which includes: contract management, parts procurement, purchasing administration.

•    An ideal candidate will possess relevant technical knowledge and solid understanding of construction equipment.

•    Strong communication skills, backed by a track record of delivering results. Strong networking skills and the ability to motivate team members.

•    Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English. CET-6 is a mandatory requirement. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.

•    Previous work experience in the Construction Equipment or Automotive industry, project management experience is a plus.
