What you will do

At Volvo Construction Equipment Technology(China), Co., Ltd, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will work as an Electrical & Electronics System Design Engineer and will: 

  • Develop complete electrical and electronics systems and secure QDCF in all product development phases for the electrical & electronics system
  • Develop machine control functions (logic, specifications, etc.)
  • Develop electronic components to fulfill product requirements regarding QDCF
  • Be responsible for machine tuning with related control functions
  • Be involved in future technology trend planning
  • Be involved in internal development process optimization

Your future team

The JTC E&E team is responsible for both electrical and electronics system development for different kinds of construction equipment (e.g. WLO, EXC, etc.). The team covers different functional areas including harness design, component development, system development, software development, and software verification & validation (V&V).

Key Skills

  • Strong product knowledge within Electrical & Electronic Systems
  • Design competences in Electrical & Electronic system technology
  • Experience in control algorithm design and control system modelling
  • Ability to conduct and apply competitive intelligence
  • Solid understanding of product development processes
  • Knowledge of environmental, safety and legal requirements relevant to our operations

Education / Professional Qualifications

  • M.Sc. in Engineering or B.Sc. in Engineering with solid, relevant experience
  • Broad interest in technology, especially in the area of heavy vehicles
  • Strong intuitive and analytical ability to resolve complex problems
  • At least 5 years of work experience in machine control design or subsystem design

  • Good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
