As a Loader Product Platform Senior Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Volvo CE’s next-generation electric wheel loaders for global markets. This is not only an engineering role — it is a platform-level position with real influence on product strategy, technology choices, and cost-performance balance.
You will:

Lead cross-functional R&D teams to develop next-generation electric wheel loaders, acting as a key interface between engineering, sales, industrialization, and global stakeholders.

Own the full product lifecycle — from early concept, platform definition, and technical roadmap through SOP and market launch — with accountability for quality, cost, performance, and customer value.

Translate global market and customer insights into competitive, scalable technical solutions in close collaboration with Volvo’s global sales and marketing teams.

Drive on-time industrialization while safeguarding Volvo’s leadership in premium, sustainable construction equipment.

Act as a technical and product authority within the platform, influencing future architectures, electrification strategies, and modular solutions.
Your future team
You will join the Product Platform Wheel Loader Team, a global and highly skilled group working at the forefront of wheel loader development.
The team acts as the product owner for delegated wheel loader platforms, with full end-to-end responsibility across the product lifecycle. Based in Jinan Technology Center (JTC), we play a strategic role in developing cost-competitive, electrified, and globally scalable solutions for both mature and emerging markets.
Collaboration, trust, and innovation are at the heart of how we work — and you will have real opportunities to influence technology direction and long-term platform strategy in a global context.
Who are you?
You are a technically strong and business-aware engineer who wants to shape products, not just execute projects.

5+ years of experience in heavy machinery, vehicles, or off-road equipment R&D (wheel loaders or similar products are a strong advantage).

Proven experience as a technical project leader, system owner, or product/platform engineer, comfortable balancing inputs from sales, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.

Solid understanding of electrification trends (battery systems, hybrid or electric drivetrains) and a strong interest in sustainable technologies.

A global mindset, strong communication skills, and fluency in English, enabling you to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Curious, structured, and confident in taking ownership and driving decisions.

5年以上工程机械、车辆或非道路设备研发经验(装载机相关经验尤佳)。

对电动化趋势(电池系统、混动或纯电驱动)有扎实理解,并对可持续技术充满热情。
