Background/Problem Description:

While Volvo Köping evaluates future possibilities for a new logistics center, there’s a parallel need to assess how we can improve our current logistics setup. The purpose of this thesis is to develop an optimized warehouse layout that will boost both storage capacity and general efficiency using our existing resources.

 

Main Objectives:
•    Conduct a comprehensive inventory assessment
•    Design a detailed warehouse map
•    Optimize space utilization
•    Improve workflow efficiency
•    Leverage technology
 

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a motivated student who is open-minded and has strong communication skills. You should enjoy challenges, be comfortable working in a team environment, and possess an interest in logistics and supply chain management. 


Strong analytical skills and a background in fields such as Industrial economics, mechanical engineering, production development, industrial engineering, Logistics or Industrial analytics are highly desirable.
