Director Quality, VPS & Environment at Powertrain Production, Köping Plant

The Köping plant is Volvo Group's Center of Excellence for transmission solutions, with approximately 1,500 employees. As the plant continues its transformation towards new technologies and electrified products, we are now looking for an experienced and inspiring Director Quality, VPS (Volvo production system) & Environment.
As a member of the Köping Plant Management Team, reporting to the Plant Manager for Köping, you will lead an organization of managers and specialists within Quality, VPS (Volvo production system) and Environment. The organization consists of six direct reports and approximately 90 employees in total.
You will be responsible for driving quality excellence, develop the Volvo Performance System and environmental performance across the plant. Through strong leadership and collaboration, you will ensure that customer expectations, business objectives, and Volvo Group standards are translated into sustainable results.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Quality, VPS and Environment organization, building strong capabilities and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Drive the plant's quality strategy, VPS deployment, and environmental agenda in alignment with Volvo Group objectives.
Own the plant's quality performance, customer satisfaction and management systems, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Strengthen process stability, product quality, and continuous improvement through fact-based decision making and structured problem solving.
Build strong partnerships across the value chain and represent the Köping plant in relevant Volvo Group networks.
Who Are You?
You are an experienced leader with a strong track record in Quality Management, Operational Excellence, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related industrial field.
You combine strategic thinking with strong execution and have successfully led managers and specialists in complex industrial environments. You understand how people, processes and customer expectations come together to create sustainable business results.
You bring:
- Experience leading managers and specialists in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management, customer quality and operational excellence.
- Experience driving change, continuous improvement and organizational development.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in an international environment.
- A university degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, enabling effective collaboration both locally and globally.
