Mission / Purpose of the Job

Technical:

· Responsible for vehicle repair, advance vehicle diagnosing, recommending and ensuring

rectification procedures are carried out

Commercial:

· Manage policies within the framework to meet the standards and direction laid down by the

management.

· Oversee the activities of a team of technicians by allocating the workload, tools, floor space

and materials to facilitate efficient completion of scheduled repairs and services

Scope and Influence

· Responsible for vehicle repair, advance vehicle diagnosing, recommending and ensuring

rectification procedures are carried out.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

· Advanced Diagnostic.

· General repairs and Servicing

· Carry out Campaigns as per the release.

· Provide advice and coaching to team members.

· Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.

· Keeps up-to-date with technical developments, mainly concerning products, working methods

and equipment in the area of operation, as well as informing the mechanics of these

developments.

· Provides customers with advice and instructions regarding repairs and the servicing of

vehicles and in general, aims to maintain good relations with customers

· Decides on additional work and informs planners and Service Advisor of this work, to contact

the customer if necessary.

· Ethical compliance of genuine parts replacement and service rendered according to the

checklist and scope of works.

· Adhere to Volvo way, Volvo processes and policies.

· Conduct On the Job Coaching and maintain the coaching hand book

· Any other duties assigned by your immediate superior.

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates

· Malaysian Skills Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field

· Preferred with valid B2, D or GDL driving license

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

· Minimum of 7 - 9 years working experience in servicing and repairing heavy trucks (Japanese

and Continental brands).

· Advance knowledge in Multi- meter.

· Knowledge in vehicle electrical circuit diagram and trouble shooting in electrical system

Necessary Technical / Functional / Language Skills

· Engine overhaul

· Transmission overhaul

· Axle overhaul

· Fault tracing ECU system

· Climate system

· Wiring diagram / repair

· Diagnostic engine, transmission, brakes, suspension

· TEA2 + Advanced

· Advanced multimeter

· Superstructure electrics

· Emission related system

· English proficiency average level

· Communication skills – Verbal and written

· Coaching skills
