Clean up paint department after normal shift hours as to not interrupt production. Help provide safe clean working environment for paint department department employees and to help maintain finishing equipment.


Core Responsibilities:

· Punctuality and daily attendance.

· General cleanup of paint department and surrounding areas. These include paint gun flushing, changing booth floor paper, cleaning lights, conveyors, walls, etc.

· Changing dry paint filters, cleaning washers and cleaning of water wash booths. Clean paint exhaust stacks as needed.

· Collect hazardous and non-hazordous waste from generation point to disposal in proper containers.

· Performs other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management to support Volvo Penta goals and objectives.


Competencies:

· Requires ability to read and write and follow instructions both written and spoken.

· Must be able to bend and pick up 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

· A full range of vision; hand/foot coordination is required.

· Requires on the job training and additional training as required.

· RCRA training annually.

 

Equipment Used and Working Environment:

· Operate fork truck, spray equipment, pumps and hand tools.

· Use Respirator, coveralls, gloves and boots.

· Must be able to work inside enclosed areas while exposed to paint and solvent fumes.

· Must be able to withstand high heat and humid conditions.

· Must be able to lift moderate to heavy loads.

· The person in the above named position has the authority to carry out the duties of this position as described in the job description.

For this position, the base pay is set at $18.37 - $24.86/ hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
