Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized production environment through scheduled housekeeping and cleaning activities performed outside normal production hours. This role supports employee safety, operational efficiency, and the reliability of finishing equipment by ensuring work areas and machinery are properly cleaned, maintained, and prepared for daily operations.
Clean up paint department after normal shift hours (Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am) as to not interrupt production.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality to ensure consistent support of department operations.
- Perform general housekeeping and cleanup of production and surrounding areas, including trash removal, paint rack organization.
- Burn off paint racks and organize racking to support efficient production operations.
- Support a safe, clean, and organized work environment while helping preserve the condition, reliability, and performance of finishing equipment.
- Perform additional duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management to support Volvo Penta's business objectives and operational goals.

Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Requires the ability to read, write, and follow instructions both written and spoken.
- Must be able to participate in a team-spirited atmosphere.
- A full range of vision and hand/foot coordination is required to operate equipment.
- Accountability: Accept responsibility for actions, performance, and personal improvements
- Requires on-the-job training.
- Must be able to lift heavy parts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping standards.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and maintain forklift certification as required.
Equipment Used and Working Environment:
• Both powered and manually operated hand tools, conveyor assemble lines, air-powered hand-held tools, spray equipment, pumps and hand tools
• Safety shoes
• Respirator
• Gloves
• Hearing protection
• Work is performed in an enclosed manufacturing environment with routine exposure to paint and solvent fumes.
Education and Experience:
• High school graduate or equivalent required
