What you will do

Volvo Financial Services (VFS) is seeking a Managing Director – Peru, based in Lima.

Reporting: You will report directly to the Senior Vice President Region Latin America, and be a key member of the regional leadership team.

As Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading the full scope of the VFS business in Peru, including developing and executing the local business strategy in alignment with Volvo Group objectives. You will ensure strong financial performance, customer satisfaction, and a robust partnership with the Volvo Group business areas in Peru, including Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, and Volvo Buses.

This is a strategic and operational leadership position, accountable for commercial performance, operational efficiency, employee engagement, and local compliance. You will be the face of VFS in Peru and play a vital role in supporting sustainable growth and long-term success in the market.

 

Job Objectives  

  • Lead the execution of the VFS strategy and the local business plan to support Volvo Group product sales in Peru.
  • Represent VFS in the Country Management Team (CMT) and maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with Volvo Group brands.
  • Manage financial performance including portfolio growth, penetration, operating income, expenses, and capital investments.
  • Drive customer-centric initiatives, foster a high-performing culture, and lead with passion for service excellence.
  • Promote a “One Volvo” mindset by ensuring close integration with the business areas and supporting their market share objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Peruvian regulatory standards and Volvo Group policies.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of talented professionals, promoting diversity, inclusion, and employee growth.
  • Serve as legal representative as required by local regulations.

Qualifications & Job Experience

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, with significant exposure to captive finance or equipment leasing.
  • Proven track record in P&L management and business development.
  • Experience in the commercial vehicle, construction equipment, or related industries is preferred.
  • Strong credit and risk management background.
  • Experience working with dealer networks and business-to-business financial solutions.
  • Knowledge of local financial market, regulatory environment, and cultural context in Peru.
  • Previous experience in a multinational or matrix organization is an asset.
  • Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English.
