The Role you could fill:
The Head of Accounting is responsible for managing the accounting operations of the organization and ensuring its compliance with accounting local & international standards. This role ensures that financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting processes comply with all regulatory standards and company policies. He/she also manages the tax accounting processes. The ideal candidate will create, lead and mentor the accounting team, manage all financial reporting processes, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee and manage the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordancewith local GAAP/IFRS.
- Coordinate the preparation of the Group's consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements are met.
- Prepare and present financial performance reports to senior management.
Accounting Operations:
- Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, lease, and payroll.
- Ensure efficient month-end and year-end closing processes.Develop a close relation with other departments to collect all the needed information enabling accurate closings
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy.
Compliance and Audit:
- Oversee internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring audit readiness.
- Stay updated on changing accounting standards and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Implement policies and procedures to maintain financial compliance.
Strategic Support:
- Partner with the CFO and other departments to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
- Oversee the invoicing process.
Systems and Processes:
- Optimize financial systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of ERP and accounting software.
- Manage ad hoc projects such as system migrations, transfer pricing implementation.
What you bring:
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders across all levels.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on process improvements. Attention to detail.

Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, including leadership roles.

We aim to make this project raising significant investments and reach rapidly a significant size with sales in excess of 2Bn. We are thinking big and fast.
