Position Description
The Senior People and Culture Partner plays a pivotal role in providing human resources leadership to enhance workforce effectiveness and engagement. This position supports the organization in strategic planning, navigating complex workplace issues, and executing large-scale HR initiatives. With a high level of expertise in all facets of human resources, the Senior People and Culture Partner possesses a comprehensive understanding of both current and future organizational needs. They drive HR strategies that foster improved workplace environments and help the organization achieve its goals. Colleagues view them as mentors, guiding fellow HR team members through challenging situations. The Senior People and Culture Partner excels at creating clarity in complex scenarios, building trusting relationships, and cultivating positive, constructive, and productive workplaces through a solution-oriented approach.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
- Coach and advise stakeholders on navigating complex HR challenges.
- Serve as the primary resource for the HRBP team, driving projects and ensuring accountability.
- Manage employee relations and mentor others to foster a positive and productive work environment, including facilitating difficult conversations, conflict resolution, and change management.
- Support the organization in employee performance management, including drafting documentation, consulting with the HR Director, and attending disciplinary and termination meetings as necessary.
- Stay informed about relevant legislation and HR best practices, developing policies and processes, including timekeeping, to ensure compliance.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, including bullying and harassment, and provide recommendations for resolution.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, a strong background in employee relations, and expertise in conducting investigations.
Key qualifications include:
- 10 years of hands-on Human Resources experience, managing HR projects, people and interfacing with employees, and serving as the "face" of HR.
- Knowledge of timekeeping practices and experience in a Lean, Unionized manufacturing environment are essential.
- A Master’s degree in project management, an MBA, or a related field is preferred.
