Channel Development Manager - Mack Trucks Export

What you will do

Mack Export is committed to driving sustainable growth and delivering world-class solutions in the Truck Heavy Duty industry. Guided by the Mack Export 2030 Strategy, we focus on strengthening our importer network, consolidating or expanding market presence, and continuously improving processes to enhance our business partners’ success across Latin America.


The Channel Development Manager will be responsible for adapting, planning, and executing channel development initiatives across Mexico and PIM countries in Latin America. This role will drive importer footprint expansion or consolidation, develop HC growth plans, assess importer performance, and implement process improvements. The position also plays a critical role in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to support management decisions and contribute to Mack Export’s long-term strategic objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities
•    Channel Development & Consolidation and Growth

o    Lead initiatives to expand importer footprint in Mexico and consolidate it in PIM countries.
o    Develop and execute initiatives aligned to growth plans in line with Mack Export’s strategic objectives.
o    Assess and qualify potential new importers, ensuring alignment with brand standards and market requirements.

 


•    Importer Management & Process Improvement

o    Conduct regular importer assessments, providing actionable insights for improvement in performance.
o    Identify, recommend, and implement process enhancements to optimize retail’s channel efficiency and business operations.
o    Support business partners with structured programs to strengthen customer engagement and market penetration.

 


•    Data-Driven Insights

o    Collect, analyze, and report market and channel data to support strategic decision-making.
o    Provide actionable insights and recommendations aligned with the Mack Export 2030 Strategy.
o    Monitor and adapt KPIs related to retail channel performance, footprint expansion / consolidation, and business growth.

 


•    Cross-Functional Support

o    Collaborate with Truck and Parts Sales, Marketing, and Aftermarket teams to ensure alignment on channel strategies.
o    Support business process improvements across Mack Export operations.
o    Serve as a key liaison between importers and Mack Export leadership.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
•    5+ years of experience in channel development, dealer/importer management, or business development within the Truck Heavy Duty, Automotive, or related industries.
•    Proven track record in market expansion and importer/distributor performance management.
•    Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
•    Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
•    Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English.
•    Willingness to travel frequently within Mexico and Latin America as required. Other part of the world may be needed.

For this position, the base pay is set at $111,100.00 - $137,200.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
