At Middletown Remanufacturing Center, part of Service Operations and Technology, in Middletown, PA, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry, and society at large. You will work as a Supply Chain Supervisor who contributes to the ensuring success of the perfomance within Supply Chain, by partnering with the different business areas to achieve goals related to our processes.  The Supply Chain Supervisor collaborates with leadership to design and implement strategies that enhance employee engagement, organizational culture, and business performance. The successful candidate will focus on hands-on execution while also supporting strategic planning to support a thriving workplace environment.

Position Responsibilities

We’re looking for a hands-on leader to own the end-to-end flow of materials—from receiving through storage and outbound—and to build robust production plans that power on-time delivery. Some of the key responsibilities are as follow;

 

Inventory & Warehouse Management

- Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.

- Ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence.

- Maintain accurate records via cycle counting and stock reconciliations.

- Implement best practices in material handling, layout, and storage.

- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.

 

 Production Planning & Scheduling

- Develop short- and medium-term production plans aligned to orders, forecasts, and capacity.

- Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, and Customer Service.

- Monitor plan adherence and adjust schedules proactively.

- Optimize batch sizes, changeovers, and resource utilization.

- Serve as advocate between Planning and Production.

 

People Management & Leadership

- Lead and develop warehouse operators, material handlers, and planners.

- Plan staffing, shift patterns, and task allocation.

- Conduct performance reviews and set clear objectives.

- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

 KPI Ownership & Strategy Execution

- Own KPIs: inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, warehouse productivity, stock-outs, obsolete inventory.

- Analyze performance data and implement corrective actions.

- Translate supply chain strategy into action plans and improvement projects.

- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, Kaizen).

 

Education:

BA in Supply Chain Management (or a related field)

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $83,500 - $103,100 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
