•    This position is full-time and based in the Winnemucca, Nevada or Elko, Nevada area.
•    Work location will be the Company's customer site located in Nevada. You will perform your assigned duties at this customer location and will be expected to reside on-site during scheduled work rotations.
•    The schedule will be 14 days on, 14 days off, with 12-hour workdays, 7 days per week (84 work hours in a week, with overtime applicable after 40 hours per week). 
•    The position could be for day shift or night shift. Night shift will receive a night shift premium. 
•    Housing and food will be provided by the customer only while employee is on shift.
•    When off shift, it is the employee’s responsibility to find food, housing, and transportation. The Company will pay a taxable monthly allowance for other costs of $750 per month. 
•    Nevada is the work location for this position. No other costs or expenses will be paid by the Company while the employee is off shift unless directed and approved by the Company. 
•    There will be no regular ETO while on shift, only ETO for emergencies, illness, or other protected time off work. 
•    The intent is for this to be an active project for several years, however there is no guarantee for continued work. This project could end with little or no notice. Furthermore, although Prevost’s intent is for you to eventually return to work at your present branch, there is no guarantee that will happen. Business conditions can change and that decision will happen at a future time.  

 

This position will assist a customer with their bus fleet to support a mining contract. 

The Parts Spider is responsible for increasing the level of productivity of the service technicians by handling the local inventory, supply chain, and service planning.

 

Core Responsibilities:
•    Prepare, in advance, the parts carts and display the parts in the required sequence of utilization
•    Assign work to technicians as parts arrive
•    Close work orders as needed
•    Deliver carts and confirm that all required parts have been provided
•    Pick and/or order from the parts that are required 
•    Return any parts that might not have been utilized
•    Manage and track inventory, supplies, and other needs
•    Adjust the type and number of parts based on local needs
•    Assist the service technicians in diagnosing technical problems (if needed)
•    Assess, on a regular basis, the inventory level of parts 
•    Manage warranty returns to factory and vendors
•    Complete other documentation as needed

 

Knowledge, Skills & Other Tasks: 
•    Help the service technician in anticipating the required parts they may need
•    Proficiency in accessing databases to identify parts, numbers, etc.
•    Able to interact with customers and respond to their needs
•    Other tasks as assigned
 

Minimum Education & Experience Preferred:
•    Two-year technical degree OR High School diploma with related work experience
•    Three to five years of experience in automotive/ bus/ truck products
 

Physical Requirements:
•    Able to lift 50lbs
•    Able to tolerate extreme local temperatures
•    Comfort with remote and austere work conditions

For this position, the base pay is set at $25.00 - $35.00/ hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
