Documentation and Funding Specialist (Commercial)

What you will do?

You will provide internal control over the documentation, funding, and booking processes for new retail transactions. You will report to the Director of Operations.
You will work in a collaborative, on-site, office-based environment at our location in Mississauga, Ontario, partnering daily with colleagues and dealer. We celebrate wins and learn from challenges, transforming together to stay flexible, fast, and customer focused. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy and sufficiency of all pre-funding contract package submissions for retail lease and loan transactions.
  • Provide a pre-funding review, ensure that all credit requirements are satisfied, and execute completed documents.
  • Understand and become proficient with the information systems supporting our retail transactions (Transaction, Q2 and Supertrump).
  • Analyze the structure of lease and loan transactions to ensure they are documented and recorded consistently.
  • Review the titling and perfection of security interest for all equipment and collateral, including insurance certification in the documentation package.
  • Respond to questions from Sales and Dealers relating to documentation and funding.
  • Interface closely with our Sales, Credit, Wholesale, Legal and Customer Service teams.
  • Review all lease and loan documentation and assist with the document preparation.
  • Review newly funded retail contracts booked into the system to ensure consistent and accurate compliance with set-up requirements.
  • Ensure client files are scanned into OnBase system and sent offsite when the deal is processed. 
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Operations.

  • University or College Degree or a minimum of two (2) years related experience: knowledge of equipment finance and leasing preferred.
  • Must have strong organizational, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, display initiative, integrity, and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong written & oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in MS Office. 
  • Bilingual (French/English) would be an asset.
