Prevost, a member of the Volvo Group, is currently looking for an effective and independent Parts Specialist/Counterperson to fill a vacant position within their team in Mississauga.
 
WHAT IS EXPECTED: 
 
The Parts Specialist/Counterperson has a key role in the Volvo Group | Prevost Division in order to perform all functions relating to the sale and/or handling of replacement parts and accessories. They assist internal/external customers with parts requirements, process orders and ship/receive parts to maintain company standards of customer satisfaction.
 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Responds to customer and service technician inquiries for replacement parts, accessories or occasional technical support
  • Participates in the improvement and maintenance of the parts department in the branch
  • Looks up parts in internally & externally, assigns parts to Work Orders, issues parts to service technicians
  • Safeguard organizational and personal information confidentiality
  • Respect the policies, rules, and values of the Company
  • Contribute to the attainment of Company objectives through efficient use of resources
  • Foster teamwork, collaboration, and improved communication between sectors
  • Implement improvements in the department based on Prevost’s business directions
  • Promote standardization and uniformity in management processes and practices
  • Develop personal professional skills
  • Act as a worthy representative of Prevost

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • High school diploma
  • At least two years’ experience in bus or truck parts
  • Computer use & knowledge (Microsoft Office, SAP)
  • Forklift/Reach Truck certification
  • Capacity to regularly lift to 20kg unassisted and the ability to climb, bend, squat, reach and grasp
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside of normal working hours, depending on emergencies and last-minute requests
