What you will do

The role 
The Head of People & Culture is responsible for shaping the People & Culture strategy and creating a work environment that supports business goals in Volvo CE Retail Operation Poland. 
This role combines strategic thinking with strong operational involvement and close cooperation with business, operational, and technical leaders and is part of management team. This position is based in a hybrid work model with a strong on‑site presence required at our office (Młochów, al. Katowicka 215)

 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Build an organizational culture based on trust, responsibility, and safety
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the People & Culture team
  • Manage the full employee life cycle: recruitment, development, and retention
  • Oversee compensation and benefits, ensuring fairness and market competitiveness
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement
  • Manage employee relations and conduct internal investigations when needed
  • Use HR data and metrics to support business decisions
  • Work closely with leaders to align the People & Culture strategy with business strategy
  • Support organizational change and transformation 

Who are you?

Education and experience 

  • Master’s degree in HR, management, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in HR, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior HR or Head of People & Culture role
  • Experience in a production, service, or technical environment (this is a key requirement) 
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing HR tools and processes
  • Experience working in an international environment 


Business and leadership skills 

  • Very good understanding of business needs and operational reality
  • Ability to connect HR strategy with daily operations
  • Strong leadership skills based on influence, partnership, and trust
  • Focus on internal customers and measurable business results
  • High level of integrity and courage in decision-making 


People management and change 

  • Strong skills in managing teams and developing leaders
  • Ability to develop talent and build employee engagement
  • Experience in change management and organizational transformation
  • Strong problem-solving mindset 


HR expertise 

  • Very good knowledge of employee relations
  • Experience in compensation and benefits
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust-based relationships
