Role Purpose:
The purpose of the Site Security Manager is to ensure the security of our building, company assets, and people within our Monterrey Valley Operations organization.
Location: Lado Sur Carretera Ciénega de Flores a Salinas Victoria Km 1+900, 65556 Ciénega de Flores,N.L., México
Responsibilities:
- Act in accordance with the requirements in Volvo Group Steering documents, Security Requirements and other policies, directives and security requirements issued by Volvo Group Security.
- Act as the organization’s point of contact for security tasks and confidentiality errands
- To work in close contact with local law enforcements and local communities in security collaboration.
- In accordance with Security Policies, directives and requirements manage guarding services, access control and preventative and reactionary security tasks.
- Incident Management, ongoing reporting and contact with the People & Culture (HR) department, contact and being contact with state services (police, army, city guard, fire brigade, municipal crisis management center, border guard), receiving correspondence from state services - verification and response, e.g. police tickets, other events.
- Handling/investigating theft/sabotage and other criminal incidents on site
- Responsible for supervising the stations where the security system will be implemented
- Responsible for internal (Volvo) and external safety audits for sites, including Site Security Assessment (Internal), Site Risk Assessment (Internal), Volvo Blue Audits etc.
- Responsible for informing the Site Management regarding legislation and other regulations regarding security that have an influence and/or impact on security and business objectives.
- Continuous and proactive world assessment – threat assessment, risk and other assessments needed to meet business needs, security requirements and
- Informing site lead and management of security needs, escalations and increases of security as situations arise.
- Identifying and implementing areas of improvement
- Perform and regularly review zone assessments, security risk assessments and security system assessments.
- Plan, do, check and act on security site assessments, security risk assessments and site compliance with security requirements.
- Supports the organization’s responsibility with the planning of new premises, facilities, buildings, zones, equipment and working processes.
- Partake in security training and security awareness training, and train the local organization whenever required.
- Be the local representative for Group Security policies, directives, requirements, initiatives and reports.
- Management of site security systems
- Management of site guarding services, security services and security suppliers
- Assisting site crisis management team
Desired Competencies and Experience for this role:
- Degree or equivalent years of experience in security, law enforcement, fire protection or similar
- Security management and corporate/private security experience
- Experience writing and implementing administrative security control such as routines, checklists, and procedures.
- Experience in physical security including security systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection systems etc.
- Experience in organizational security including security training, security culture and guarding services management
- Governance and follow-up assurance experience
- Legislative and regulatory and Privacy incl.
- Relevant certifications within security and fire protection
