The Belgian Customs organization ensures that Customs & Trade processes are efficient, quality assured and executed in a compliant duty optimized way. As Head of Customs Belgium, you will lead a team of dedicated specialists located in Belgium.
As leaders we believe in the servant leadership philosophy, we are people focused, value driven, and play an essential role in operational development. We need to be excellent at networking and have a good understanding of E2E since we represent the function and the entire Customs & Trade organization towards our stakeholders.
In this position you report to the Head of Customs & Trade Europe and are a member of the Customs & Trade Europe management team.
This is how you can make an impact
You will:
- be responsible to secure compliance, quality and speed in our Customs & Trade process with main focus on Belgium
- be part of setting the future direction for the area and drive development in strong collaboration with the other functional areas of our organization
- actively contribute to our digitalization journey, exploring opportunities with new technologies and securing that our customs data creates value for the Volvo Grouplead, coach and develop the team and coach colleagues in the C&T Europe Management team
- maintain relationships with customs authorities, internal and other external stakeholders
- be responsible for fulfilment of contracts with external customs brokers

Who are you?
You have:
- Master's degree in business administration, logistics or equivalent
- a structured, business and holistic mindset
- experience from working with compliance and trade is a strong merit
- experience in lean leadership, analytics, and digitalization domain
- strong oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English
- fully proficient in O365 incl Power BI.
