Volvo Group Operations Graduate Program - Traineeship
Over 15 exciting months, the operations graduate program will give you a comprehensive view of the Volvo Group’s global truck manufacturing organization. You’ll explore our brands, plants, logistics, and key business areas like manufacturing, quality, and continuous improvement. You'll also engage with emerging technologies and develop future-ready skills.
From day one of the traineeship, you’ll hold a permanent position, supported by a manager and mentor, with opportunities for “on-the-job” rotations and real project experience. Through team development sessions and learning modules, you'll connect with other participants and grow into your future career at Volvo.

Our organization
You will join a dynamic and international team at Service Operations & Technology, where data and digital transformation are central to our future success. Our team consists of specialists in analytics, AI, IT/OT, and business development, with diverse backgrounds and a collaborative culture. We encourage innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing across functions.
What will you do?
- Support the business in leveraging data and AI to improve decision-making, efficiency, and innovation.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Translate business challenges into analytical use cases and design data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure data pipelines and models meet business requirements.
- Develop and validate predictive models, dashboards, and reports to monitor business performance.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with Volvo Group standards.
- Support the implementation of AI-driven initiatives, such as process automation, demand forecasting, and customer analytics.
- Build understanding of the business/operations and business challenges in our operations
- Come up with improvement suggestions leveraging AI/ML/Data.
Who are you?
You are curious by nature and passionate about using data to solve real business problems. With a background in analytics, engineering, or data science, you know how to turn raw information into meaningful insights, whether through visualization tools or coding in SQL and Python. More importantly, you can explain those insights in a simple, compelling way that helps others act with confidence. To qualify for our operations graduate program you have a maximum of two years of previous full time working experience, prior to or after graduation.
As this is a truly global program, you need to be fluent in both speaking and writing in English.
