What you will do

As a Senior Business Controller within the SO&T (Service Operations & Technology) Ghent and Europe organization, you act as a true business partner and finance specialist for the Ghent and Europe operations, guiding them in their continuous cost deployment journey.

 

You provide thorough analysis, financial background and recommendations towards the management and the different networks of the Ghent and Europe operations to support strategic decisions and business development. While doing so, you keep an ever-changing macro- and microeconomic reality in mind.

 

Your main focus will be to:

 

  • Follow up, analyze and perform the internal reporting of the financial results linked to the daily operations.
  • Plan, coordinate and follow up the main financial processes (Business Plan, Estimates, Closing, Investments, Standard cost calculations)
  • Support the organization by delivering relevant business- and financial input and updates, setting up the dialogue, making recommendations and challenging your stakeholders
  • Translate the financial business objectives to engage all functional levels, by further developing and activating the E2E cost deployment roadmap throughout the teams
  • Participate in projects & lead business case creation and continuous improvement activities
  • Perform coaching on different levels linked to the different cost KPI’s and processes
  • Participate in local and global networks to ensure sharing of best practices
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure the E2E view in all activities
  • Contribute to the digitalization journey & roadmap of the team

  • University degree in economics/finance or equivalent experience
  • Extensive financial knowledge
  • You are analytical and have a high problem-solving ability
  • You are a team player and have the ability to build cross-functional relationships
  • You are reliable, accurate, proactive and organized
  • You are skilled Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook,...). Knowledge of SAP and Power BI are a big asset
  • You have good communication skills
  • You are fluent in English
