Introductie
Solliciteren op deze functie geeft je de kans om deel uit te maken van de Volvo Group. Binnen de Volvo Group is ons Central Distribution Center in Gent het kloppende hart van ons service-logistieke netwerk.
Het grootste centrale distributiecentrum is bij ons gevestigd en bevat alle onderdelen van trucks, bussen, constructiematerialen en industriële – en marine motoren. Succesvol zijn en blijven? Daar geloven wij in! Zo hebben we naast een opslagfunctie, ook heel wat nevenactiviteiten waarbij de focus ligt op leveringsprecisie, service en efficiëntie.

Momenteel zijn wij op zoek naar een student shipping coördinator om ons team te vervoegen gedurende bepaalde periodes tijdens het jaar. Je komt terecht in een dynamisch en divers operationeel team van 20 collega's waar service, kwaliteit en precisie centraal staan. Samenwerking binnen het team en met de collega teams van andere afdelingen en met externe partners is essentieel om onze doelen te bereiken. Klantentevredenheid dragen wij heel hoog in het vaandel, net zoals het continu streven naar verbeteringen.
Wat ga je doen?
Jouw verantwoordelijkheden als Shipping Coördinator
Als Shipping Coördinator verzend je onderdelen van de Volvo Group. Je doet dit volgens de contractuele overeenkomsten van de logistieke flows. Jouw bijdrage is cruciaal om ervoor te zorgen dat de transporten op tijd kunnen vertrekken.
Takenpakket:
- Je maakt alle verzendadministratie op om de uitgaande transporten te kunnen laten vertrekken.
- Je verstuurt goederen volgens de bestaande afgesproken transport set-up.
- Je lost afwijkingen in het CDC Outbound proces op en registreert deze. Je doet dit op een kostenefficiënte en klantvriendelijke manier.
- Je escaleert deviaties en initieert verbeterideeën.
- Je denkt mee na over hoe we de processen binnen het team verder kunnen digitaliseren.

Je bent stressbestendig en kan goed omgaan met deadlines.
Je hebt een goede kennis van MS Office.
Je bent zelfstandig, reageert snel bij afwijkingen en kan creatief problemen oplossen.
Je werkt planmatig en kan prioriteiten stellen.
Je bent een betrouwbare teamspeler en je hebt een klantgerichte ingesteldheid.
Je hebt goede communicatieve vaardigheden. Kennis van het Nederlands en Engels is een must.
Je bent bereid om in twee ploegen te werken (dag/late ploeg).
