Your new team is part of Production Logistics. We are an organization with approximately 650 employees, connected worldwide to deliver logistics solutions with world-class operational excellence. We ensure that transport is purchased, packaging is made available at our suppliers, materials are transported to our production facilities, and vehicles are distributed to our customers on time. We design and optimize the Production Logistics supply chain for the Volvo Group, prepare logistics for new products, and manage the Sales & Operations Planning process. Our team is responsible for organizing, monitoring, and executing the transport of materials from our contracted Xdock and supplier locations to our overseas end recipients. We take care of the necessary administration and do everything we can to get all materials to their final destination on time. We do this every day with passion and a genuine continuous improvement mindset. Together, we are ‘Better together’.

 

Your ideal job?

  • You are the central point of contact for handling operational issues, resolving deviations, and providing perfect customer service to our end recipients.
  • You resolve blocked shipments related to quality issues upon arrival at our contracted Xdock.
  • You will perform administrative tasks for containers loaded by our contracted Xdock and containers loaded at supplier locations for destinations around the world.
  • You will proactively identify deviations in transport flows and take the necessary actions to prevent or limit negative impact on our end recipients.
  • You document and escalate recurring deviations to the Transport Material Coordinator.
  • You initiate and stimulate improvement ideas by using the GEMBA approach, organizing workshops, using PSM/PDCA, and other continuous improvement tools.
