Salary up to £14.50 per hour (dependent upon skill set/experience)

 

Working hrs:
Monday to Friday
0900hrs to 1700hrs (1/2 hr unpaid lunch)

Alternative Saturday 0800hrs to 1200hrs @ overtime @ time and a half

Who are you?

There are some essential components needed for this job

 

  • strong customer orientation with the ability to work in an organised & methodical manner in a fast moving environment.
  • You will have good communication skills and be able to modify your approach in specific circumstances to ensure a positive outcome. With proven negotiation skills and experience of selling techniques, you will be a team player with a flexible and positive approach.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is ideal but not essential as training and support will be provided. However, strong IT skills will be required
  •  

If you have had exposure of any of the following skills, then this would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given:

 

  • Familiarisation of booking times
  • Familiarisation of vehicle parts.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • IT knowledge, although training will be given on in-house systems

 

What will you be doing

Working within both front of house and Parts, this is a varied role!

 

  • To be the first line contact for customers. To identify service parts requirements and assist in preparing the necessary depot actions to meet those customer requirements.
  • Assist and serve counter sale customers by identifying parts required and supporting other team members when necessary.
  • To carry out the Service Department’s invoicing and administration systems efficiently.
  • To greet customers in a courteous manner, interpret their requirements and complete the necessary paperwork to enable work to be undertaken.
  • To effectively monitor the Work In Progress (WIP) reports to clear Workshop instructions as soon as possible.
  • To liaise with the Workshop Foreman to maximise Workshop loading to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • To inform customers of completion times and payment methods.
  • To contact customers to inform them of any additional work required and issue accurate quotations to gain the necessary authority to complete the work.
  • Ensure Customer orders are taken and supplied to the correct specification.
  • Ensure that parts required for customers are picked and allocated to the correct delivery route(s).
  • Ensure that procedures are correctly carried out for the ordering of goods and their receipt.
  • Documenting and reporting the condition of parts received notifying any relevant party of damage or concerns.
  • Inspecting old units or parts returned for credit and reporting damaged or unsuitable items to the Parts Manager.
  • Working as a team player, flexible and helpful ensuring support for both colleague and customer.
