Mission / Purpose of the Job

Technical:
· Responsible for vehicle repair, intermediate level vehicle diagnosing, Overhaul major components, recommending and ensuring rectification procedures are carried out.

 

Commercial:
· Manage policies within the framework to meet the standards and direction laid down by the management.

 

Scope

Responsible for providing services and repairing, including intermediate level vehicle diagnosing and overhaul major components.

 

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

 

· Intermediate level diagnostic.
· Repair – brakes, suspension, chassis.
· Repair – Powertrain Engine and Transmission.
· To overhaul engine, transmission, rear axle, gearbox and other components.
· To carry out diagnostics in tests, calibration and parameters.
· To carry out fault tracing ECU system.
· Work on various vehicle parts, details and components (dismantling, repair, assembly…).
· Ensure proper arrangement and labelling of warranty spare parts and notify superior accordingly.
· Follow procedures, instructions and methods described in Maintenance Manuals/Impact.
· Carry out Service Campaigns as per the release.
· Ethical compliance of genuine parts replacement and service rendered according to the checklist and scope of works, especially for Service Contracts work scope
· Ensure all service and repairs are performed thoroughly and in accordance to good quality practice and procedures adhering to manufacturers standard
· Ensure good housekeeping of workshop and maintaining good safekeeping of company assets.
· Adhere to Volvo way, Volvo processes and policies. · Any other duties assigned by your immediate superior.
· Maintain highest level of customer satisfaction at all times, adherence to 7 customer commitment.

 

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates

 

· Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) level 1,2 or 3 or certificate in related field
· Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field.
· Possess a valid driving license

 

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

 

· Minimum of 2 – 3 years working experience in servicing and repairing heavy trucks (Continental and Japanese brands).
· Computer literate

 

Necessary Technical / Functional / Language Skills

 

· Diagnostics in electric, engine, transmission and brakes
· Overhaul engine, transmission and axle.
· Fault tracing ECU systems via Volvo diagnostic tools
· Computer skill / Impact / LDS / ARGUS
· Report writing for AGUS/MQR/DQR as per Volvo standards
