What you will do
Volvo Group has been in Australia since 1972 and has a strong track record of helping our customers succeed in their respective industries. Under the Volvo Group Australia umbrella are well-known brands such as Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, Volvo Bus, Volvo Penta, Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Financial Services. This role will work for Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV), who are the primary commercial vehicle distribution centre's for Volvo Trucks and Buses, Mack Trucks and UD Trucks.
What you will do
As a Bus Mechanic, you will focus purely on the Volvo Bus range. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Steering and suspension repairs
- Electrical faults, diagnosis and repairs
- Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
- Component overhauls
- Driveline repairs
- Preventative maintenance services and repairs
- Offisite and breakdown repairs
Your future team
This role will be based at our Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) dealership in Prestons. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the team is made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Trades Assistants, Apprentices, Service Advisor's and Costing Clerk's. The team pride themselves on running a quality and highly efficient operation, in a supportive and good-humoured team environment.

- A Heavy Commercial Vehicle mechanical qualification
- Proven experience working on buses
- Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
- A pro-active attitude with a drive to work efficiently
- A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset
