What you will do

Our Parts Interpreters are key to our retail operations and provide prompt, courteous and efficient service to our valued customers.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Maintaining and updating the front sales area retail displays
  • Marketing and sales of parts to customers, ensuring business plan targets and goals are met and/or exceeded
  • Developing new customers as well as maintaining current customer base
  • Coordinating and implementing the supply of Parts and Parts Services to retail front counter customers
  • Respond efficiently and effectively to all front counter, phone and email enquiries
  • Generating Parts sales invoices and processes credit returns in full
  • Raising vendor purchase orders
  • Reconciling cash sales on a daily basis in liaison with administration requirements

 

Your future team

Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) is part of the larger Volvo Group Australia umbrella. This role will be based at VCV Prestons, working in a team of 22 members and reporting to the Parts Manager. The VCV Prestons dealership prides itself on maintaining a supportive and inclusive team culture.

Who are you?

We place emphasis on both technical and soft skills, and believe that the best person for this role will have:

  • Prior experience in a Parts Interpreter (or similar) role
  • An excellent mechanical aptitude and knowledge of truck products
  • Sound computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in team environments
  • A forklift license (desirable, not essential)
  • Capacity to work a Saturday shift on a rotating roster
