What you will do

At Volvo Chile you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will: 

Mission: Lead and innovate comprehensive risk prevention and environmental strategies to enhance safety, health, and sustainability within Volvo Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading risk assessments and implementing robust mitigation strategies.
  • Overseeing compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Developing and executing safety programs to prevent workplace incidents.
  • Creating and driving sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
  • Investigating incidents to identify root causes and enforce corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to promote best practices.
  • Reporting on risk and environmental performance to senior management.
  • Innovating continuous improvement solutions for safety and sustainability.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Education: Degree in Risk Prevention Engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in similar roles.
  3. Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of local and international safety and environmental regulations.
    • Proficiency in risk assessment and management practices.
    • Familiarity with hazardous substances storage and hazardous waste management.
    • Knowledge of the current legal framework in Occupational Safety and Health.
  4. Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Intermediate level).
  5. Mindset and Motivation:
    • Strong commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
    • Proactive and detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have:

  1. Language Skills: English.
  2. Additional Skills: Experience with sustainability initiatives and projects.
