What you will do

At Volvo Trucks & Buses Chile, you will lead the credit and collections strategy, ensuring a healthy portfolio and effective risk management aligned with corporate standards and local business objectives.

You will:

  • Lead the collections and credit management function, ensuring effective control of accounts receivable and delinquency levels.
  • Define and execute strategies to optimize cash flow, reduce DSO, and improve portfolio quality.
  • Monitor performance through KPIs (PI’s), implementing action plans to improve collection efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee extrajudicial and judicial collection processes, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate guidelines.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Legal) to ensure aligned decision-making regarding customer risk and credit policies.
  • Ensure proper segmentation and management of the customer portfolio, including high-risk accounts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including digitalization and automation of collection processes.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and development to the collections team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure adherence to Volvo Group policies, compliance standards, and internal controls.
  • Act as the key point of contact for collection-related matters with regional and global stakeholders.
  • This role requires strong financial acumen, operational leadership, and a proactive approach to risk management and business performance.

 

Your future team

 

You will report directly to the FCA Manager and work closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Aftermarket, Legal, and external partners to ensure effective portfolio management and business continuity.

Who you are

 

  • We are looking for a results-driven leader with strong analytical and negotiation skills, capable of managing complex portfolios and driving performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in credit and collections management (preferably in B2B, automotive, or financial services)
  • Strong knowledge of collections processes (judicial and extrajudicial), credit risk, and financial analysis
  • Advanced English and Spanish skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Excel highly required)
  • Experience with ERP systems and collection tools is a plus
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • High level of accountability, execution mindset, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage complex situations
