Regional Parts Sales Manager

Purpose of the job

  • Achieve targets from Volvo Mission and Vision
  • Achieve targets from Mack Export Strategic Objectives
  • Adhere to Volvo policies and guidelines
  • Achieve quantitative and qualitative objectives set for Sales area
  • Achieve departmental sales volume and profit goals according to established budget/forecast guidelines.
  • Drive Parts business and support to the assigned region
  • Support key accounts business
  • Ensure strong educated dealer network

 

 

Key activities and responsibilities

  • Provide price, specification and marketing information to dealers and customers for Mack and vendor products
  • Lead activities that grow sales within Chile, Argentina, Ecuador and Bolivia.
  • Actively initiate and manage coordination with dealers, customers, and various internal departments to achieve sales goals
  • Interface with all vendors to obtain specification, pricing and marketing information on products offered, Mack Trucks
  • Train distributors on Trucks’ spare parts products, policies and procedures
  • Develop new business to increase sales and market share for Mack proprietary and vendor parts.
  • Travel to International distributors to assist in developing forecasts, business plans and inventory control systems
  • Train international distributors to use the provided software and systems to effectively service their customers
  • Support dealer sales growth and profits with regional/national fleets.
  • Resolve dealer and fleet issues to best possible resolution.
  • Track sales pipeline, opportunities, and activities.
  • Keep all parties advised by submitting reports on time and in the proper manner.
  • Coach and train the district parts managers in the areas of sales, opportunity management, merchandising, pricing, operations, risk management, and business performance analysis.
  • Be part of the operational plan implementation and execution, including sales per VIO follow up

 

Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of documented experience in aftermarket sales
  • 10+ years of experience with International business in Latin America
  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Preferred Multi-Brand knowledge and experience

  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to develop and maintain long-term relationship with business areas, dealers and customers
  • High standard of professionalism and integrity (The Volvo Way, Code of Conduct, etc.)
  • Keen ability to actively seek and identify areas of opportunity and growth
  • Well-versed in development and implementation of retail operation business plans
  • Complete knowledge of dealer sales and service contracts

Fluent in English and Spanish, speaking, reading and writing
