Prevost, a division of Volvo Group Canada Inc., is currently looking for a Parts Spider for its Richmond Branch.
What awaits you:
Our Parts Spider is responsible for helping to increase the level of productivity of the service technicians as well as the local supply chain.
You responsibilities:
- Prepare parts quotes, create and maintain excel parts spread sheets and have knowledge in all aspects of microsoft ( word, excel, Power point)
- Prepare and deliver the parts to the repair shop carts as required
- Look up parts in company and non company data bases, make calls to other dealers to locate alternative parts
- Pick, store, and/or order from the parts required by the service technicians.
- Assess, on a regular basis, the inventory level of parts
- Adjust, in conjunction with the service manager, parts manager, the type and number of parts based on local branch requirements (i.e., season, warranty, etc.)
- Diagnosis:
- Assist the service technicians in diagnosing technical problems (if needed) by asking questions about the job at hand
- Help the service technician in anticipating the required or additional parts he/she might need.
- Provide a high level of courtesy and understanding of what the service technicians require on various technical repairs or on preventive maintenance (if needed).

What you need :
- High School diploma with related heavy duty (or automotive) parts experience
- Must be able to read and write English fluently
- Able to lift 55lbs consistently
- Must have clean class 5 drivers license
