The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and implement the training needs of the Parts and Service Departments of VCES California, as well as the Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR). This individual will champion a "Safety First", "Customer Focused", and continuous improvement culture. This individual must be a certified VCE TtT (Train the Trainer) who can teach accredited VCE factory classes and will also schedule all required safety training for both departments. Furthermore, this role will oversee and monitor all VCE Care Track activities, including activations and operational performance. Additionally, this role facilitates all product update activity and tracks the company's performance in this area.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work safely at all times. Adhere to all VCES applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards, and values.
- Monitor and delivering product update information in a timely and organized manner that leads to attaining Iron Mark criteria for product update completion requirements.
- Provide overall leadership, direction, and technical support for the Parts & Service Departments to achieve company goals as they relate to training, governmental regulatory requirements and "Care Track".
- Direct, oversee and coordinate all training for the Parts & Service Department employees & any requested and/or required customer training as it relates to the product lines represented and sold by VCES CA.
- Prepare annual, company, branch & individual training calendar schedules respective of each manufacturer to ensure corporate, branch and individual goals are achieved to maximize manufacture incentives and provide customers with the highest level of technician/employee competency for the products VCES CA represents and sells.
- Prepare training hour recap log to track individual branch and company training hours relative to type of training competed by month, quarter and annually.
- Prepare Training Department Annual Operating Plan.
- Prepare and develop company & branch "Care Track" Policy, Procedures and Operational Guidelines as they relate to "Care Track" monitoring, reporting, follow up and growth of soft products segment of the business.
- Prepare, develop, and oversee respective Business Plans to ensure compliance with all governmental regulatory policies and requirements as it relates to the Parts & Service operations of the company to include but not limited to MSDS, OSHA, EPA, HAZMAT (HMBP), SPCC, DOT and Waste Water runoff.
- Prepare a list of required tooling that optimizes the training investments to ensure respective service technician has the tools commensurate with the training to perform their jobs in accordance with all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, and manufacturers' service requirements/guidelines.
- Establish and maintain a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with respective manufacturers and customers.

Required knowledge, experience and education:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in the construction industry preferred.
- Full understanding of OSHA and applicable safety regulations.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations pertaining to job sites and locations.
- Possesses a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Willingly accepts responsibility and is flexible to any assignment.
Training Requirements:
- Train the Trainer Training
- Schedule and participate in all required factory training to maintain Train the Trainer status.
Additional Important Requirements:
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing and occasional stooping, bending, crouching, and overhead reaching; and may occasionally need to climb stairs and use a small step ladder.
- Requires occasional lifting, pulling, carrying, or pushing objects or materials, over 50 lbs.; and may frequently lift, pull, carry, or push objects or materials, up to 25 lbs.
- May occasionally work around loud, noisy, and dusty equipment and environment.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
- Ability to work on or around heavy construction equipment, which requires climbing, accessing hard to reach areas and working in a noisy environment.

For this position, the base salary range is set at $72,600-$89,700, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
