What you will do

At Volvo Group Purchasing department you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.


Your future team
In the electronics Department, our connectivity team is constituted of 12 buyers based in France and Sweden, dedicated to secure the delivery of competitive, reliable and sustainable Telematics, infotainment & Software components to our wordwide footprint (Europe, North America, South America, India, China, …)
Our team is driven to support each other in the challenges we face, share best practices, and achieve our goals together.
We are ideally looking for a 2-year-apprentice Commodity/Project Buyer able to reinforce our team from 1st September 2026.
We are located in Saint Priest (France)
The apprenticeship duration and modalities could be adjusted based on your school’s constraints.

Who are you?

As an Apprentice Buyer within the connectivity team, you will support team members & potentially manage a small business scope on your own with mentoring by a team member. You will work closely with the other buyers in the segment, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and suppliers to help secure competitive supply solutions in line with business needs.
We are looking for a strong and flexible team player, eager to learn and improve,
•    You are fluent in English,
•    You have a basic understanding of electronics/components/Software,
•    You have a can-do approach with a positive mindset, high level of energy, and you are ready to tackle challenges,
•    You like to do business, demonstrate superior communication skills and comfortable in cross-functional and multi-cultural set-up,
•    You enjoy managing many parallel activities and you have a target-oriented approach,
•    You are following an engineering / business school / Purchasing Master educationFormer experience in Purchasing, technical background and automotive experience is a plus.
